Hi there! I am Marcia Broughton, Real Estate Agent with StreetCity Realty for the past 2 years!  I have lived in this beautiful city of Thunder Bay for the past 10 years. I was born and raised in Fort Frances, ON, lived in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba for 5 years, and also Leduc, AB for a short period of time. My husband, Shaun and I have bought and sold personal homes as a way to create investment money to eventually buy rental properties. Owning real estate was always a goal and dream of ours, and when we moved to Thunder Bay in 2011, we were able to achieve this. We became landlords, property managers, and real estate investors over the next 10 years, and I absolutely loved the benefits of owning real estate. These direct benefits created a desire and a goal to become a Real Estate Agent myself. I wanted to be able to help other people obtain their dream home, an investment property; add to their existing portfolio, or to purchase their first home. Most importantly, I wanted to be able to show people how using a licensed real estate professional makes the process smooth, by removing the responsibility off themselves to someone who is extremely knowledgeable and trained for this exact transaction. Being a real estate agent is my passion, it lights me up and radiates from my personality, which clients can easily see and has become a regular compliment I receive. This Spring I received 2 amazing awards from my brokerage, for my outstanding year in real estate!

My other love is the medical field; I have a background in Paramedicine and a 10-year career in teaching and providing continuing medical education and quality assurance to working paramedics. This again comes to my love of helping others and people in my community.

Thunder Bay is truly an amazing city to live and own real estate. It is such a good mix of city amenities but provides the lake life, outdoor adventures, and many diverse cultures. Real estate continues to be affordable and being a real estate investor has always provided good returns and remains a good investment in Canada. 

When I’m not out meeting with new clients, viewing their homes or looking at house, I am with my family enjoying the outdoors, mostly at our lake home. I have an amazing supportive husband, and 2 teen boys who love being on the water, ATV, hiking or enjoying the sauna and campfires. My other favorite thing to do is to travel, especially somewhere warm as the sun is one of my loves.
